Dining Services
All students living on campus must sign a housing and meal plan contract prior to moving in. To ease the transition into living on campus, all undergraduate first-year and transfer residential students are required to purchase the 300-block or 240-block meal plan. Returning students can choose a smaller block of meals. We find that having one of these two meal plans provides new students with reliable access to healthy meals and reduces the stress of adjusting to campus life.
In addition to meals at Gilmore Dining Hall, each meal plan also includes an allotment of Flex Cash that can be used at the Simon Grill and the Starbucks Café in the John Lyons Center. Students can request to have their meal plan increased during the year; however, once a student selects a meal plan, it cannot be lowered.
Flex Cash? Pilgrim Dollars? What is the difference?
Flex cash is the money that is originally added to a student’s ID as a part of their meal plan. This amount depends on the meal plan selected. This money can be used at Starbucks or Simon Grill.
Pilgrim Dollars is money added onto a student’s account throughout the semester. It can be used at Gilmore, Starbucks, or Simon Grill.
Students who run out of Flex Cash or students without a meal plan can add Pilgrim Dollars to their account.
Students just need to tell whoever is cashing them out if they are using Flex Cash or Pilgrim Dollars. Student can get their current balance on both accounts by asking the cashier.
See current menus and dining hours or add Pilgrim Dollars on the Chartwell’s website.
Academic Support
If your student could use some academic support while on campus, there are a few resources we encourage them to utilize.
The Writing and Academic Support Center offers individualized tutoring and writing support, free of charge, to all 正规赌篮球的软件 Students.
正规赌篮球的软件’s Mentoring Program provides a collaborative approach with one-on-one individualized support multiple times each week. Enrollment in the program is voluntary and requires an additional fee. Complete the Mentoring Enrollment Form to get started.
Disability Services
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) ensures equal access to all New England College programs and activities so that disabled students have a similar, if not identical, college experience as their non-disabled peers. The process for receiving accommodations is different in college versus high school, and students must re-apply each year. We encourage you to read more Family Disability Services Resources.
Parent and Family Newsletter
Numerous times throughout the year, we send an e-newsletter that includes campus updates and deadlines, upcoming events and previous campus happenings, ways to help your students get involved, and resources on how you can support their time at 正规赌篮球的软件.
